Amanda Wheeler

Interior Designer

Amanda’s child-hood home in Arroyo Grande was always beautifully decorated for every season. Her mother’s magnificent taste aroused her fascination with the world of design, driving her to pursue a career in the field.

She was drawn to the Pacific Northwest for college; maybe it was the smell of coffee, even back then. She attended Oregon State University where she earned a degree in Interior Design in 2014. After graduation, Amanda began her career with a large Oregon-based design/build company that specializes in kitchen and bath remodeling. During her time in Oregon, she met her wonderful husband yet missed her family on the Central Coast. After five years of collaborating on award-winning designs, she and her husband packed up and moved to California. Amanda joined the Design Collaborative team in April 2020 and has enjoyed expanding her breadth into the commercial design world.

She developed her passion for coffee while in the PNW and is a true crime enthusiast. If she’s not listening to a true crime podcast you will find her watching Gilmore Girls.
