The Barbie Dreamhouse started it all……Christi has loved design since childhood, after outgrowing Barbie, she upped her game – by the age 13 she had designed and built several elaborate doll houses, each one a different style.
Born and raised in Oregon, and a graduate of the University of Oregon, she began her professional career in elementary education and expanded her horizons a few years later with a move to Boston to work in luxury real estate. After 14 years in Boston, she was ready to return home to the West Coast. In 2012 she enthusiastically joined Design Collaborative. Michele was looking for a part-time design assistant; Christi was thrilled with the opportunity to actually work in design. As the company grew, Christi moved into the role of expediter, office manager, and bookkeeper. She loves working behind the scenes solving problems, tying up loose ends, and taking care of the office, but assisting the team with design projects is her favorite role.
When she’s out of the office, you’ll find her taking a barre class, hiking with her kids, or watching her husband prepare his latest gourmet creation while she enjoys a glass of wine!
