Kelly O’Sullivan
Interior Designer
Kelly grew up in the village of Arroyo Grande amid the charming buildings, rolling hills and vineyards. As a young girl, she had a love for reimagining small spaces and exploring half-built homes with her dad.
She began her studies at San Diego State University as a kinesiology major, but it wasn’t long before she walked into a hand-drafting class on a whim and realized she could turn her little girl dreams into a life-long career. As she completed her interior design degree from San Diego State, she interned and then worked for an architectural firm in downtown San Diego. It was here that Kelly experienced architect to designer collaboration for the first time. She became knowledgeable in large government projects as well as learning the intricacies in designing hospitality chains. After five years of loving and exploring San Diego, she made her way back to the Central Coast and joined Design Collaborative in 2016. Kelly is happiest drawing up plans and elevations in CAD or putting the final touches on a well-proportioned room.
When not in the office, Kelly’s back to her roots, running and exploring the beautiful trails and beaches of the Central Coast. The outdoors brings her a sense of peace and the ability to recharge.
